Legoland, Malaysia

Our hot & sunny day at Legoland.

Well... Basically we were a little burnt as the sun was sorching hot. We had 2 different tones on our body after a 1-day trip to Legoland.

We left home about 8.00am in the morning and went by Tuas 2nd Link as it is much nearer to the legoland. After clearing through the Immigration, look out for Exit 312-Nusajaya. Follow the signboard for Legoland to reach to your destination.

 The weather was great in fact... Too sunny for a theme park. Perhaps it would be better if there are more trees or shades around... I would think I need a dip in a nice and cool pool after visiting Legoland. Hahaha.... Even some of the rides were sorching hot and burning our butts off...:-p

 We had to put on our sunglasses, the caps,the umbrellas, lotsof cold fluids....

 The girls had their fun with the legoland playtime and most of the rides. Nic and I had gonefor our thrilling roller coaster rides while Daddy and the other 2 gals had gone for their 4D Movies.

Sawadee-ka Thailand ~ Sweet Sweet Bangkok 2013

In fact, I had been to Bangkok many many times, and I will always return back because I love it there... Though traffic sometimes could be a little hectic with the impossible jams... but it never stopped me from going back there. The food is simply authentic, spicy & delicious, with the endless street hawkers almost at every corner of the street. Things are pretty cheap over there as well... Of course, not forgetting my shopping... it's just simply heaven for me... hehehehe...

I had made a trip down to Bangkok in end January, for a 4-Days Trip with my girls. Actually, we were pretty aimless of what we should do during our 4-days there. So I hope on to the tour guide desk in our hotel. The Safari Park had been a to-visit-place list since our last trip in September 2012. Both Nic and Mimi were pretty excited about our trip to the Safari except for Nat, whom is abit worried...

You shouldn't have much expectations about this Safari... As in compared to the Zoological Zoo we have in Singapore, this Safari is no way comparable to Singapore. It's condition is abit run down. We were a little skeptical when we arrived at the Safari, and felt probably it was a waste of money to visit the Safari.

However, as we walked along the Safari, we began to find that our trip was very fruitful. After the Elephant Show, we had a close encounter with the elephants. I mean REAL CLOSE!!!! They had even allowed us to feed the elephants but of course we had to pay a 50-baht for a small little bucket of bananas. If you could see in my pictures below, the elephants were pretty well-trained and well-behaved. Mimi was so excited as she could touched the elephants and feed them too. She was so daring to even sit on the elephant's trunk to take a picture!

These elephants were SMART as well... They knew how to draw a picture... Look at the paintings that they had drawn, and they were up for sale for 500-baht... It was really impressive.

Hehehehe... While looking up for our next destination, we met this little Orang Utan sitting by with its trainer. I had asked the trainer if we could take a picture with it. See how friendly this orang utan was... It was simply just kissing Mimi, and Mimi was simply just having fun too... It kissed me too... Its mouth was pretty soft & smooth when it kissed my face...:-D

Here are some of the animals that we can find in the Safari. And you will see them rather close, unlike the ones we have in SG Zoo, where by we can only see the animals in a distance. Over here, it was probably just a 50-cm distance away from the railings and the fence... Cool isn't it...???

This was one of Mimi's favourite spot... Feeding the giraffes... These giraffes sure are hungry and they seems to be eating non-stop with the people whom just kept feeding them... Don't they ever get full?? They had a long purplish tongue, which Mimi thought was quite yucky... hahahaha....

Last but not least... This was definitely not one encounter we would have in SG Zoo. I remembered my 1st counter with the tiger cubs was in South Africa. In South Africa, they were famous for the Safari, Lion City.. We really did not expect that we are able to get a snap-shot with the tiger cub in this Safari.. Look at Mimi, she was just thrilled over every single life animal that she had came across during this entire trip in the Safari. And she was actually feeling restless and bored when we brought her to watch the shows...
Hubby & I felt that thought this Safari was a little small and run down, these close encounters with the animals were all good enough to cover the other flaws....

This time round, we had also planned to go for a river cruise. The so-called very popular Chao Praya River Cruise was very much recommended by alot of people and even by the tour desk. The tour agent had promised me that this cruise will be interesting as we will see famous landmarks like the RAMA VIII Bridge, the temple which I can't remembered its name.

I would think that going on a day-cruise will be more beneficial as we will be able to see the landmarks clearly as compared to the ones we saw during the night.

There was also a short Cabarat Performance Show. My girls thought that these ladies looked quite pretty... :-p

In the end, we all had a wonderful trip this time. Except that I had missed out some late-night shoppings... :((

Happy Birthday Curly Fries... Let's have a Toystory Cake♡

Happy Birthday Curly Fries...

Time had really passed by that quickly... I remembered she was just borned and it seems just like yesterday that she was still a little baby... 3 years had passed, and she is a little grown up gal.. A little gal with lots of imaginations, being very independent of her own...

We wish her to have a happy & healthy life ahead of this year, and may she be smarter, more obedient, become more gentle...and what have we..., love us... XOXO

Mimi had requested for a Toystory Theme for her cake. And for me, I had long gave up my fondant cake as I reckon I wasn't a great expert in that... So this is what I made for her..

A normal cream cake, 5 different layers of sponge cake, topped with whipped cream, strawberries and Mimi's Toystory cake toppers. I hadn't had much ideas in decorating the cake as well.. So just a little simple one... I thought it wasn't made that beautifully, but I was glad Mimi was very thrilled about it, and she loved the cake...

Besides the cake, I made some chocolate cuppies, the "Aliens" from Toystory...

How do they look like? Do they looked like what they are supposed to be???
Initially, Mimi didn't want to eat it, but in the end she tried it, all because of the green gummies and chocolate chips on the cuppies:-p. As for Nat, she liked the "Aliens" cuppies very much.

There, our very own little party for Mimi's birthday...

Just the 5 of us, Daddy, Mummy, Nic, Nat & Mimi...

We had even bought the Toystory balloons for her, the paper plates, cups, napkins & hats.

Her little cheeky face...

And the great smile from her is what we wanted...:)
She was so happy with her little party...

And of course her favourite strawberries...:))

Bye Bye SG...Let's go to Taipei now 4-7 Nov 2012

It had been many years since I had been to Taiwan. I had visited Taiwan for countless times but I hadn't done any sight-seeing. So this time round, we visited Taiwan for a 4-Day trip. Kind of a short trip but to hubby & myself, we thought 4 days trip is fairly fine to us as we are travelling with 3 young children... Though we had brought our helper along, but I guess 4 days are sufficiently more than enough, else... we should be tired of exhausation with the kids??? hahahaha....

We had booked a hotel located in 西门町，Swiio Hotel. It is a new boutique hotel with very unique designs. Rooms are of abit of a small scale... Should be just big enough for 1-2 persons:-p Below are the pictures we taken from the lobby... something different huh?

 We left our baggages with the hotel and started our sight-seeing upon the 1st day of our arrival into Taipei. We had hired a local driver to bring us around, and he had brought us to 野柳 to see those geographic rock structures. It has a very beautiful scenery as you can see. The girls enjoyed it too.

 The picture below on the top right hand, it is a popular trademark there, and they called it "The Queen's Head" Look like one? But this one we took wasn't the actual one... hehehehe... The rest of the pictures were some corrosion of the rocks.

 After 野柳, we headed off to 九份. It was a very busy town. There are alot of tourists and locals who wil come and visit this little town. It is bustling with lots of people and of course, alot of yummy food and souvenirs to buy.

 After 九份, we headed off to 十份where people go there to put the 孔明灯. It is a lantern which the Taiwanese believe that writing your wishes down on the lantern, and light it up into the sky, your wish will come true??? Will it?

So Mimi was busy "drawing" on the lantern while Mummy  was off looking around and shopping for souvenirs before we ended our tiring day....

 On the 2nd day, we went to 淡水. It was also a very busy town. Lots of people too but it was definitely a great place to go too if you enjoyed food and the beautiful seaview.

 Oh, and not forgetting, I had to visit their Hello Kitty Sweets Restaurant. Because everything was HELLO KITTY!!! Food wise... I personally think it was just so-so. Prices are quite costly due to Hello Kitty trademarks.

 And also, we visited Taipei Main Train Station on the 3rd day.... There were a few underground shopping malls, but nothing fancied me probably due to the season change to winter soon, so most of the clothes were of winter wear.. Tough luck... But Mimi got a good deal, buying her boots at only NT200(sgd$8)!!!

Hmmm, well, to me this cheesecake was just so-so... Probably because I think my cakes are much better? Oopsie...



Let's go to BKK (26-29 Sep 2012)

Hubby & myself went to Bangkok last year. But this year, the girls went along... They were all very excited, including my helper... Say Bye Bye to Singapore and let's go to BKK now!!!!

Welcome to BKK....I love BKK, of 1 reason is because they have a special clearance lane for travelers with young children, disabled, old folks. I'm impressed with this service they had...:)

This is Baiyoke Sky Hotel, the highest hotel building in BKK, about 81th storey tall. We had a room located at the 50th floor... Look at how spacious our room was with a huge bathroom as well. Of course, a nice nigth scenery... The lights in BKK...:-p 

 We started out our night at the night market below our hotel. Street food dinner followed by shopping and back to hotel to end our day....

BKK might not be a great place for young children but it definitely a shopping heaven for me and my helper, well, my girls too, we had all enjoyed our shopping adventure trip in BKK... hahaha!!!!

Shopping, here we come!!!!

 Day 2 in BKK, i had brought the girls to Siam Ocean World. It is a indoor aquarium located in Siam Paragon Shopping Mall. It is about 2 levels, with lots of interesting sea & land creatures. Some were an eye-opener for us.... We even had our 10mins fish spa, a boat ride + a 5D movie... Per Pax had cost me abt S$40 for adult.

 Swimming is a part of our itinerary in our holiday trips... The girls love the pool, the water. They really enjoyed it even though the water was icy-cold...!!!! Gosh, it had took me quite a while before imerging myself into the pool whereas the girls had just simply popped into the pool and started playing... -_-"

 These are some of the yummy street food not to be missed... This Banana Prata was awfully delicious!!!! Topped with condensed milk n chocolate syrup... yummy... They even had different flavors... which I had yet to try...

 These Thai desserts, made to be like "real fruits" which are made of green bean paste, the jellies, the mango with sticky rice, oh, and the homemade cream puffs...

 Time for massage!!!! Looks like Nic is enjoying very much, giggling while the lady massaged her... Mimi... just fiddling around...

 Time to go back to SG after our 4D3N trip in BKK.
